Monkey Hill drops Conaree

Saturday, 28 January. Conaree took on previously winless Elco St. Peter's in a premiere league match. It did not take long for Monkey Hill to prove that they are still a contender as they took a 1-0 lead 12 minutes into the game. The conditions were poor but credit St Peter's for taking advantage as a second goal took place 10 minutes later. It was questionable as to whether the linesman was caught sleeping as even Elco supporters were surprised by the no-flag. Nonetheless CFC headed into the lockerroom trailing 2-0. Conaree dominated all aspects of the match in the second-half. Persistent attacks paid off in the 75th when Quow registered his first goal of the season on a 30-yard blast. A second goal seemed inevadable, however, time ran out on the disorderly side ending the most disappointing match of the season. Conaree's next opponent is a slumping Village Superstar team which has dropped three straight. That game will take place at Sandy Point grounds on Sunday, 5th Feberuary at 1:30.
GOAL SUMMARY:
  1. QUOW 75th (1st)
