CONAREE DRAWS NATIONAL LEADERS

Saturday, Feberuary 18th. C.F.C. was booming with confidence entering this match against TDC Newtown FC. Coming off of a big victory over St. Pauls, Conaree began the game with quick pace and scoring opportunities. This pace, along with sloppy Newtown defending, lead to Erell's goal in the 30th minute. The goal instilled urgency in the Newtown attack, however, and they nearly evened the score in injury time of the first-half.
The second-half saw Newtown posess the ball the vast-majority while attacking at full-speed. The Conaree defense held strong but was visibly weakened by the constant attack from Newtonwn's talented team. Coach Farell's decision to add a fourth defender was only one-play too late as Newtown capitalized on the tired defense in the 70th minute. Goalkeeper Bomers preserved the draw under 90-minutes of intense pressure proving he is the best keeper in the nation. Conaree's next opponent will be Garden Hotspur on Sunday at the Sandy Point grounds.

Goal Summary:
  1. Erell 30th (2nd)
