Caribbean Star C.F.C. Earns Three Points in Opener

Sunday, 21st January. After a one-month break, Conaree resumed it's inaugural premiere-league season with a match against "Sunquick" Cayon Rockets. Conaree had a one-point advantage over Cayon going into this match, but both were still in relegation danger.
C.F.C. started strong with hard tackling and good build-up. The finishing touch was missing, however, as has been the case throughout the season. Nonetheless the squad looked confident in all sectors of the field going into the lockerroom even at nil. The second-half began in a different manner. Cayon had two early opportunities to take the lead but goalkeeper Bomas' presence was enough to send the shots off target. Focus was then returned and Conaree took over. In the 65th minute the pressure paid off. Dell struck a rocket far post, from 20-yards, and Daire was there to clean up the rebound for his third premiere goal of the season. Coach Farell then braught in a 4th defender (Deagles' first action for Conaree) and the team cleaned up. At the final whistle Conaree got the win, some much needed breathing room, and most importantly got themselves in playoff contention (one-point out of 4th place). Training resumes on Monday at Cable and Wireless in preparation for their match next weekend.
Goal Summary:
  • Dainre 65th (3rd league)

CONAREE ADVANCES TO 3RD ROUND

Sunday, 15th January. After a one-hour delay Conaree finally took on Travel World Old Road in the second round of the FA Cup. C.F.C. applied heavy pressure right away. A Ryan header was cleared off of the line off of a corner in the opening minute shortly followed by an 18-yard blast, from Bogmon, that narrowly went wide. Just three minutes later Daire opened up the scoring on a breakaway. This was followed by two quick goals from Erell and Mikey before the half. Possession was all Conaree in the second, though no goals were scored. So, C.F.C. advances to the third round of knock-out stage on a convincing 3-0 victory over Old Road. Bomas earned the clean-sheet. Training will resume on monday in preparation for the return of premiere-league action next weekend.

Goals:
  • Daire 5th minute
