Conaree has had a busy week and it continues into the weekend with the Nevis-Tournament. On Wednesday, CFC traveled to Cayon for a warm-up against their fellow promoted rivals coming from the first division. Conaree delivered heavy pressure for the first thirty-minutes, however just before half-time, the power blew ending the game pre-maturely. Their week continued with a match against 2004-2005 premiere-league champions Village Superstars on Thursday. Daire opened the scoring for Conaree on a shot from the top of the 18, in the 10th-minute. Village then settled down and began to control most aspects of the game. Just five minutes later Village evened it up with an OG off the Conaree defense. Village would then finish two more before half-time to make the score 3-1.
After a few changes by Coach Dango Farell, CFC took the field in the second-half with a little more composure. Newly signed defender, Sheldon, held the conaree defense together well. Attackers Arell and Daire became dangerous in the air on crosses coming in from the defense. And the mid-fielders calmed down enough to keep decent possesion of the ball.
3-1 in favor of the champions. But Conaree can go into this weekend's tournament with confidence knowing that they can hang with any team in the caribbean.

C.F.C. HANDED FIRST LOSS
On Sunday, the 19th of September, Conaree suffered its' first loss to a quality Garden Hotspurs club under Coach Deco Huggins. The match was played at the Atles Grounds, a neutral site, during St. Kitts' Independence weekend. The final score was 2-1, however, the conclusion to the viewers was that Conaree beat themselves. Many opportunities were missed in front of net and there was conflict outside of the game between management and players. This resulted in the indefinite-suspension of one defender from all club activities including training-sessions. This is a difficult punishment for all the players as this defender has been a motivator and role-model throughout the past two-month pre-season.
After a practice-session on Tuesday, Coach Dango Farell expressed his confidence in the newly promoted team and said that a re-match is in the works for this coming weekend. "With a full conaree squad, no team in St. Kitts can knock us..."

CONAREE ENDS WEEKEND WITH 0-0 DRAW
Sunday, 04 September. After earning a convincing shutout win against a tough team from neighboring St. Maarten, Conaree concluded the weekend with a 0-0 tie against the other visitors. The blazing sun of the West Indies somewhat drained the intensity of this match-up, however, each team had equal opportunities to net a winner. The first-half did not provide much excitment with the exception of a couple light shots on goal from each side. Conaree picked up the pace in the second half, though, and had many promising chances thwarted by the St. Maarten defense. By the middle of the second-half the visitors had equaled Conaree's level and put heavy pressure on goalkeeper Bomas. Despite a pair of seemingly unmissable tries by Conaree's attack just before full-time, the match ended in a draw. No cards were shown to either side and teams exchanged pleasantries after the game. With Conaree's first season with the premiership only two-weeks away, the team remains unbeaten in pre-season play. The team will have Monday off and continue their training on Tuesday at ScanTel grounds.

Conaree Victorious
At 9:00, on Saturday evening, Conaree took on a visiting team from St. Maarten in a preseason friendly match. Under the lights at the Village grounds, the two teams played to a scoreless first half. Each had a couple opportunities but failed to tally a goal. It wasn't until the second half that Conaree began to win control of possession. With Bogman running the midfield, it was clear to see that Conaree was dominating play. And at the 55th minute, Daire's goal coming off of a corner kick from Mikey would prove to be the winner. Conaree would continue to put heavy pressure on the visitor's well into the waning minutes of the game. Bomas earned the clean sheet and looked solid, even after playing 90-minutes in an out-of-season match earlier in the evening. Man-of-the-Match went to Ryan, while Libby and Sketch deserve praise for their strong defensive performances. After the match, Coach Dango Farell congratulated the team while stressing that Conaree's future depends on the commitment of senior players attendance of pre-season training sessions. Conaree's next game will be Sunday 10:00 a.m. against another St. Maarten all-star team.
